Non-boozy Bach Party? No problem!

Sometimes in the midst of a booze-soaked Bachelorette weekend you need a dry activity, or maybe, your bride is not a big drinker, and you think she’d be happier with some girly options that don’t involve popping bottles! I actually have several friends who are not drinkers and I imagine you might too.

1. Baking or Cooking Class – As someone who always asks for “experiences” as gifts rather than something that can be wrapped, I am the queen of cooking classes. Do I think I am a great cook? No, but I love to learn, and learning and eating decadent foods with friends can be such a fun experience. Private cooking classes are amazing if you can swing it, but also consider Sur la Table. They offer cooking classes at locations nationwide, and all of the Eataly’s do as well (Locations in New York, Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles). There are always local cake decorating or baking classes to try, but if you are in the New York, D.C., LA or Toronto area, consider Milk Bar for a delicious and very ‘grammable experience.

2. Workout Class- Rooftop Yoga, Pure Barre – I love squeezing in a fun workout with my girlfriends. On my 26th birthday they treated me to my favorite class – Pure Barre. This is a nationwide ballet and pilates-themed workout, but if your bride is not into this style, check out local spin studios, or even Airbnb’s new “experiences” tab for workout options.  We found a fun rooftop yoga class in Austin on there!

3. Hiking/Kayaking/Paddle Boarding – If you are heading to a picturesque outdoors-y area (Read: not Manhattan) consider a fun outdoor activity! Paddle boarding can be a blast or pack some extra granola bars (or a full picnic!) and take on a mountain.

4. Calligraphy Class – Calligraphy classes are popping up in all different cities. I loved the Sip & Script classes in the New England area and have taken one at the Maman NYC locations from the talented Sam Teich. If you do a quick google search I bet you could find one in most cities! (added bonus: if a bridesmaid has a hidden talent at this ask for help with invites or place cards.. joking…kind of)

5. Cycling or Walking Tour – With more people trying to squeeze in workouts into their vacations, cycling and walking tours are growing even more popular! They are a great way to view a city from a different perspective than your typical hop-on hop-off bus. There are even ones that will bring you to more unique sites such as Spade & Palacios non-touristy mural tours.

Do you have any other great non-drinking activities? If so, please leave a comment here or on insta!
