Nashlorette: Nashville Bachelorette Guide

The city of Nashville is trumping Vegas when it comes to being THE bachelorette city capital and for GOOD reason. There is so much to do it can be hard to decide what to do in your few days there. I've included some of our absolute favorites below. As for where to stay, I highly recommend East Nashville! It's a ten minute uber drive to downtown but unbelievably cute and charming.

Foooooood

Nashville is known for crunchy, spicy hot chicken and juicy BBQ, but the city is also not without more refined choices. It's a good idea to aim for a mix!

  • Peg Leg Porker: You can line up for this popular barbecue spot, or order to go. We ordered a ton of food to go so we could skip the lines and have time to get ready for a night out and play some games in the Airbnb. The locals say to grab the ribs, but I was a huge fan of the pulled pork. Also do NOT leave without trying the macaroni & cheese!
  • Hattie B's Hot Chicken: This is a fast food joint, but it is certainly no Mickey D's. On Sundays, they serve Hot Chicken and Waffles and it is some kind of heaven. This is also a budget-friendly option to mix in with some higher-end meals.
  • Rolf & Daughters: This was our "splurge meal" price-wise and it was worth it! Many of us split the pastas and a few of the other entrees (Lemon chicken - so fantastic) and had some absolutely amazing cocktails. For a big group, the move is to go close to when they open and then pursue after-dinner cocktails before hitting the downtown bars. We highly recommend Husk. We had a few rounds at the bar at Husk and took in the ambience of such a gorgeous home turned restaurant.
  • Sky Blue Cafe and The Post East: We grabbed quick breakfasts at both of these places during our stay and they did NOT disappoint. Sky Blue Cafe provided the perfect hot breakfast (for a hangover) and the Post East had some incredible smoothies and extra strong iced coffees. I've also heard people rave about Biscuit Love.
  • Five Daughters Bakery: As typical New Yorkers we chose decadent doughnuts over biscuits, but let me tell you, these were INCREDIBLE. With a big cup of coffee and a gorgeous donut in your hand what could be better.

Things to Do during the Day

  • Belle Meade Plantation:  We visited Belle Meade plantation on a picturesque, not a cloud in the sky day, and it was heavenly. We took a historical tour of the mansion (highly recommend) and our tour guide was very witty and informative. The tour ends with a wine tasting in another building where you can also purchase bottles or cheese and crackers to go. Obviously, we bought both, then wandered around for some photo opportunities and to check out more of the history on the grounds. The carriages were very interesting to take a peek at.
  • Corsair Distillery:  Our group signed up for an artisan whiskey tour on the one rainy day in Nashville and it was the perfect indoor activity. We were able to learn about the history of the distillery (very unique) and sample many of the different kinds they had behind the bar. Also, this distillery is located in a small plaza of sorts so we did some shopping before and after our tour.
  • Jackalope Brewery:  We each had a flight at Jackalope Brewery and also enjoyed their colorful artwork and games. It's the perfect laidback spot to check out.
  • Draper James: I want to be Reese Witherspoon when I grow up, so this was a treat for me. Draper James is Reese Witherspoon's "Southern Style" store. It's stocked to the brim with brightly colored sundresses, gingham, bags with cutesy sayings like "Totes Y'all" and home goods that make you want to throw a picnic. The store staff also hands out iced tea while you peruse.
  • Pinewood Social: Our bride LOVES bowling so this was a must-do. This retro-hip bowling alley also serves incredible food, has  a POOL and takes group reservations. They were also SUPER accommodating and let us order a bottle of champagne on ice ahead of time to toast our bride. Weird, but definitely order the broccoli. Broccoli has never tasted so unhealthy and amazing.
  • Frothy Monkey & Emerson Grace: These are two spots down the street from Draper James that we kind of stumbled upon. Frothy Monkey served BANANA iced coffee, among other quirky and cool flavors and Emerson Grace (kitty-corner across the street) served up major style vibes. I nabbed the NASH hat pictured below and I rock it no matter which city I am in.
  • Murals: There are several murals throughout Nashville perfect for the perfect insta shot with the bridal party. You can easily make them part of your plan by figuring out what restaurants/activities run by them. Also uber drivers in Nashville are NOT the same as uber drivers in New York. Meaning that while we were there many offered to help us with suitcases, groceries, photo ops, etc. Southern hospitality is real y'all.

Going Out Out

  • Acme Feed and Seed: We played a hilarious scavenger hunt game at Acme Feed and Seed and let me tell you this is the place to do it. This bar is multi-level with a fun rooftop and live music. This is a GREAT place to kick off your night. (P.S. drop me an email if you want the game)
  • Florida Georgia Line House: After Acme we went down the street to the FGL bar. This one was fun, but a bit darker and more crowded. If you are a fan of clubs - this has a slight clubby vibe on the first floor.
  • Nudie's Honky Tonk: We ended our night here and it was the PERFECT spot. Live music was amazing, the crowd was so fun and they had multiple spots to grab a beer (not just the crowded bar). This is a must-do for late in the night. There is also a convertible dangling from the ceiling!
